Accessibility
Last updated 29 September 2026
We want this website to work for everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom, or high-contrast settings.
We aim for level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 (opens the W3C website), the usual standard for accessible websites.
What we’ve checked
- Colour contrast. All text meets the AA contrast minimum in both light and dark mode, including the text inside each game’s card. We measured it.
- Keyboard. Everything works with a keyboard alone. A “Skip to main content” link comes first, and whatever you’re on always has a visible outline.
- Less motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the logo animation and the small button movements switch off.
- Zoom and text size. You can zoom to 200% without losing anything, and on a narrow phone screen nothing makes you scroll sideways.
- Text spacing. Wider letter, word and line spacing doesn’t cut any text off.
- Pictures. Pictures that show something have text descriptions. Purely decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
- Structure. Every page has one main heading, headings in order, and marked page regions, so screen readers can jump around.
- Your settings. The site follows your device’s light or dark mode, and it keeps working with Windows high-contrast colours.
Known limits
Our games and apps are separate products, and they may not meet this standard yet. Fast, real-time games like Squid Racing can be hard to play for some people, and we’re still learning how to make them easier. If one of them gets in your way, we want to know.
Found a barrier?
Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. If you use assistive technology, such as a screen reader or a switch, telling us which one helps us fix it.
